Books

OCHRE is a collection of poems that take a surreal stance on love, longing and loss.

It serves as a composition of abstract poetry in which the words are chosen for their aural quality rather than specifically for their sense or meaning.

The poems in the book, Mapping the Dislocation, revolve around themes of memory, migration, and the ephemeral sense of home.

The collection embraces the idea of motion and circulation, the notions of impermanence. All the titles of the pieces within the book are drawn from the works of Zarina (Hashmi), an Indian-American artist and printmaker. Mapping the Dislocation is a tribute to Zarina.

Blue Bird is a compilation that sits in the genre of alt-poetry. It puts forth 20th pieces as a journey of a young woman stuck in a time loop.

She loses her beloved to regain another, only to lose him again. She looks through memory, reality, and prediction to gauge and scape objects, people, places, and herself.
